We stopped half way and enjoyed the sights around Mount Rushmore. We camped for two nights in the same campground Jenny and I had stayed at years before when we came back from me working on the east coast. We met up with Kim and Lilly, our old friends from Bloomington. Lilly stayed with us until her mom picked her up at the end of the week.
The campground had a pool. The kids and their mothers enjoyed a cool dip.

Our main stop after leaving Mount Rushmore was Wall Drug, South Dakota. I had wanted to go there on the last trip, but we ran out of time. The kids had a lot of fun there.
